You may have noticed that Bernard does Landscape Design, not just Garden Design. The main difference is that Bernard can walk onto any property and come up with a design that will take not just the plants and garden into consideration, but everything that makes up the bones of a good landscape.
For example, terracing with retaining walls or sloping gardens, drainage of both surface water and ground water, and working with and not against your existing site constraints. From steep residential blocks to rural acreages.
Achieving the best design requires a lot of communication between the designer and the client. Bernard encourages this communication process so that he can achieve the best results for you.
The design process starts with an initial consultation where you will discuss your project. This can be either on site with you or via email, along with pictures and plans of the site and telephone conversations.
Once Bernard has an idea of the project, he can give you a cost estimate for your design.
You can then choose to continue on with any of the following design processes. You decide what you want him to do, and what you want to do yourself.
Next, Bernard develops a Concept Landscape Design outlining the basic requirements (the bones if you like) of your project. Things such as terracing, walls, drainage, decking, garden beds, etc.
After this, you can discuss material selections for all of your hard landscaping requirements and architectural features.
Next, Bernard can develop a soft landscape design that will list all of the plants, turf, mulches, soil preparation, etc. All based on thorough discussions with you of your likes and needs.
Bernard can also organise any Council Applications, Engineering, Surveying if required, and Finally Construction of your Project to the Highest Standards.
